Fractal Design has added four new PC cases to their product base: The Define C and Define Mini C, each coming in two versions (with and without a side panel window). So far, only the black variants will be available. These enclosures are optimised for lightweight builds with just the basic components, and therefore have only a couple of drive mounting positions. They utilise the latest style of case layout with the power supply mounted on the bottom together with the hard drives. Everything is separated from the main compartment by a plastic cover.
The Define C supports Full-ATX motherboards with a capacity for a total outer dimension of 399 × 210 × 440 mm, while the Mini C is shorter at 399 × 210 × 399 mm, supporting only Micro-ATX boards. Noise dumpening material is provided on both sides (windowed versions only on the other side) and front panel. The total weight is 7.4 kg for the Define C and 6.9 kg for Define Mini C, so I would expect that they’ll be using only 0.8mm SECC. Both the cases have no 5.25″ positions, and only two 3.5″ ones and three 2.5″ positions located under the motherboard plane.
The cooling capabilities include three 140mm front fan positions (just two for the Mini C), two at the top, and then one each for the 120mm rear and bottom. A single 120mm front and rear fan come factory pre-installed. The bottom, front and top positions are also equipped with fan filters. Additionally, radiators can be mounted to the fan positions.
As for the front panel, two USB 3.0 ports and two audio jacks are available. The recommended selling price is (precisely) 85 Euros for the window-less Define C and for the windowed Mini C. The windowed Define C will cost 90 Euros while the window-less Mini C is priced at 80 Euros. The cases should be available in some regions right away with stock showing up in the remaining ones soon.
