The Antec High Current Gamer M 750 W is an 80 PLUS Bronze certified (@115 V) unit made by Seasonic. It is basically the same model as their own M12II Bronze 750 W with only slight changes. It’s worth mentioning that the 750W models and upwards, a different platform is used. While the other M12II Bronze models are just modular S12II, which is the same old platform dating all the way back to the Super Tornado (with their respective incremental revisions), these are different. They are based on a modified S12G platform, and the modifications have been done to reduce the overall cost.
The current price of the High Current Gamer M 750 W (or HCG-750M) is 3200 CZK in the Czech republic, 105 Euro in Germany, and 150 AUD or 100 USD. At this price, it includes a 5 year warranty and it also has semi-modular cabling (the Main ATX and ATX 12 V are fixed). It is also equipped with a 135mm LED fan (the LEDs can be turned off). Furthermore, Antec claims this unit also has “Japanese heavy-duty caps”, which would be quite interesting if this were true, considering the price.
The High Current Gamer M 750 W is supposed to have two +12V rails with 40 A each or 744W combined, we’ll definitely be checking this, as most of these Seasonic units actually only have single physical rail. The +3.3 and +5 V rails are supposed to provide 25 A each or 150 W combined which I don’t think should present a problem. As the unit is a spin-off of the S12G, internally it has only one actual +12V output, with DC-DC modules hooked up to it to provide the lower voltages. The remaining rails have the ordinary values: 0.5 A for the -12 V, and 3 A for stand-by supply.
