I'd say maybe the samsung (if it has to be in that list), mainly because Samsung don't use those rediculous glossy screens. I'd go with Intel if possible, though, due to their better performance and lower pricing. I'd also avoid quad core, because it's unnecessary and generates too much heat for a laptop.
http://shop.amd.com/us/All/Detail/Noteb ... 3ANotebook would be a good buy If you have to go with AMD. I do like Lenovo as a brand, but only the thinkpads. Their IdeaPads are aimed at average consumers, and are considerably lower quality.

Samsung laptops aren't alwats that good.
Lenovo, BOTH ThinkPads and IdeaPads are the BEST laptops.
Ignore that ^ said about IdeaPads not being good
Mine is flawless

I think I'll go with the Toshiba. Is that good?

Yup. I love toshiba too. Only thing I don't like about the Satellites is the glossy screens, but quality wise, they are as good as consumer-grade gear gets.

That's because its so new. It will probably die young, though. I's choose an Acer/FleaMachines over an IdeaPad

My current laptop is a 2004 ThinkPad provided by my school.
But we're moving to iPads next year so I want a real laptop.
(Also, okay, Toshiba it is then!)

My laptop is a Toshiba tablet, and I enjoy it. Just make sure you get something with a motherboard that supports graphics cards (mine doesn't - stuck with Intel onboard graphics
).

I've had terrible experiences with Toshiba laptops personally - they feel very cheap and plasticy!

I had a Satellite A20, before the briefcase. It was excellent. It was solid, and ran very cool, despite having a desktop CPU. Yes, they have made a few iffy ones in the past (namely, the Satellite A200), but in general, I've found them to be much more reliable than lenovo Ideapads.
