why? because it would be "trusting me completely" not "trust me completely"?

Thanks for the correction. So a sentence should not start with a verb, right? What about "to trust..."?

I'm not good at explaining this english crap, but let me try:
"Though trust me completely is not a very good idea." would not work.
Actually I think if you want to really be nitpicky about it, you would have to make it one long sentence...

Thanks for having faith in me, though trusting me completely is not a very good idea. (I'm not sure whether it would be though or although, so sorry lol)

You could say "to trust me completely" BUT in this case that would not work because you already have an -ing verb (having) so trust would also have to be gerund (-ing)...

Does that make sense at all?

I think though is a lite version of although and even though is stronger than although. Then again, trusting me completely is not a very good idea, especially when it comes to English. :lol2:
