Which would be a better replacement cap?

I'm recapping a Macron, and it uses exclusively GP Fuhjyyu TN caps. One cap is 100µF 35V 6.3mm x 11mm. The replacement caps I have are Panasonic FC 100µF 35V 8mm x 11.5mm, and Rubycon ZLH 68µF 35V 6.3mm x 11mm. Since they're replacing a GP cap, either ones ripple far exceeds the Fuhjyyu TN. But, the Panasonic is much bigger. The Ruby cap is he exact size but I'm not sure if the smaller µF will make a difference. The cap is connected to the primary side of the 5VSB transformer. Appreciate any input!

Neither of the two designs I'm familiar with has such a cap. But if it's for what I think it's for, I doubt the whole 100µF would be needed. Can you show us the interior of the unit in question???

It is indeed a newer Macron design. Unfortunately my phone is broken so I can't take a new picture but here's the original. Sorry, the picture isn't very large:

I guess one of my main questions is, even if it's not a filtering cap, isn't ripple current more important than capacitance?

It probably is a filtering cap, for the power to the PWM controller.

So, what do you suggest?

If you can squeeze the Panny in, use it, otherwise the Ruby will have to do.

The Panny fit, so it's in there. I assume the ESR won't make a difference. So, now it's all recapped
Macron used a 4700µF 16V Fuhjyyu TN on the second 12V rail. So I assume the 4700µF 16V Panny FR will keep the ripple nice and clean
For a Macron, the soldering is pretty disappointing. Big blobs galore, but nice and short leads

In the original MPT series they had a tendency to use too little solder on the output wires, which caused their solder joints to fracture...

The soldering quality on my MPT-4012 wasn't exactly Delta or WinTact quality either, and I did touch a few things up. It was better than CWT's soldering, though.
What I do really like about the 4012 is that it has PCB space and silkscreening for 12.5mm caps on most of the outputs.
