Note the frame rates (Near the top left corner) in the following screenshots. My PC is a C2D E8400 OC'd to 3.6GHz with a GTX295 graphics card and 4GB RAM.

frame/second =1.1? :lol2: that's a filmstrip rather than a game.

1.1?!?!?! you're kidding right?

Nope, it was really 1.1 FPS approaching the airport. At least I can use an autopilot approach so the plane flies itself to the runway. The Antonov 225 is difficult to fly at 50FPS and near impossible at 1FPS.

what the fuck? what do you have such a high end PC for at 1.1fps?

IDK. Considering that my PC is both high end and much newer than FSX, you'd think it would run smoothly.

I know seriously! Is the CPU or GPU the bottleneck?

Probably the CPU. When I can afford it I might go quad core Sandy (or Ivy) Bridge. I've seen a few people play it quite happily on a 9600GT but with a quad core CPU.

my guess would be cpu since GTX295 is basically GTX275*2 and it was the most powerful single card in the world.

You can just find out by seeing if it's at 100% in Task Manager.
If it is, overclock it a little bit! 500Mhz should help a little bit I'm sure!
