As I mentioned within the article, YMMV on the practicality of this; still, it seems to me a better use of the technique(s) than just braiding hair, and any of the listed methods is more practical than individually sleeved cores

I think I've done alright photo-wise considering the old camera (apart from that server group harness, which I took under a pendant light at night; although I adjusted the gamma to make it look less-bad, and may re-shoot that item in its current form later), hope that's satisfactory for these "side" articles.
I ought to also have illustrations of how to extract the contacts, but maybe when I feel better…

I think one of the disadvantages of velcro is also some kinds of dirt stick to it.

Some SATA appear to use same technique of connection to the wires as IDE connectors used, which is pretty much similar to Krone terminals for structured cabling - wires are pressed between two blades. Those kinds of connectors should also be removable, but careful re-assembly is needed to assure good connection.

Added a warning regarding extracting the terminals of crimped SATA power connectors (it's very easy to break tabs off the shell when doing it wrongly).
