Just in case you're wondering, I don't actually do the testing on the carpet. If a PSU explodes, the sparks would set the carpet on fire. The room with the carpet floor is just beter for photos.

I've built a second smaller load tester to use in conjunction with the bigger one. It only has 2 12v loads and draws 144W (12A) from each, bringing the total loading capacity up to 1KW, assuming the voltages don't drop too far below their nominal values. The HCG750 will be the next review I publish.

I'm wondering... how long are the PSUs at Hardware Insights tested at each load and at what ambient/room temperature (or what "hot box", how long it takes to warm them up) are they tested at? I can't seem to find that info in the article, which is why I ask.
