I actually kind of like this PSU...If the price was cut in half it would be a good unit to recap and use for a 400W system. Absolutely flawless 3.3V ripple, probably the lowest I've seen with that design at such high loads

Yeah, too bad it seems to have killed my old load tester. The scope rail select switch melted as the PSU failed.

Yes, but I opted not to. I built a new better one which is quieter, and will go up to 1300W (as opposed to 700W on my old one)

How come the 3.3V ripple was so low, does it use DC-DC conversion? What is the model of your old load tester?

I'm not too sure why it was so low, as it doesn't use DC-DC. Come to think of it, it might have been the switch failing and not making contact.
