The bundled rear fan wasn’t overly loud, but it was certainly not silent.
What does the tachometer report??? How does it compare, noise-wise, to fans of known rotation speed???

The tach reports 1500RPM. It is somewhat louder than most other 1500RPM fans. IIRC, the In WIn Z583's bundled fan runs at a similar speed, but it is a little quieter. If the motherboard supported temperature controlling the fan, though, it would be silent.

The review of that case said:
The fan supplied is an ARX FD1290-S3033E. It’s speed, airflow and noise ratings are 2100RPM, 37.47CFM, and 28dB respectively.
And I think a 92mm fan at 1500RPM would be very quiet.

Hmmm. Interesting. I can definitely hear it, even when removed from the case with no grilles, although the noise is more of a motor whine than airflow noise.
I believe the fan's OEM to be Dynatron Top Motor, simply because I have a few Top Motor branded 92mm fans with identical blade designs (and because Antec used to use them all the time in their PSUs)

The grille uses a honeycomb structure, which is very open and doesn’t block much air.
To me, the particular grille on this case doesn't look so open. They probably decided to have a higher proportion of metal, compared to the holes, to preserve what little solidity the thin steel has. Do they seriously think people are going to buy this piece of scrap metal???

The rear grille is still miles better than this. I've seen some who seem to think Antec can do no wrong. I'm sure one of such people would buy this, although they'd probably realise pretty quickly that it's not actually a very good case.
