Well, last week I called them and scheduled somebody to come out to the house to take a look at it.
first, he came inside and almost died when he saw my torn-apart and taped together modem LOL...anyway, he cut back some excess cable on the pole to boost the signal strength, and did some re-routing at the control box down the road.
He also gave me a brand new modem/wireless router combo device for fre, because my old one (while only being one version older) was messed up a bit-(and i didn't even mention it was my birthday)...
He was nice and knowledgable, and I'm really quite happy with AT&T's services.
I think I'm going to put off changing ISPs for now.
