Probably is a 400 watter, but just not a very good one.
No wonder it doesn't work! You installed the coils backwards! :D

Silver Stone power supplies are usually pretty decent.

Innards of the new released Corsair HX1050 PSU. It uses the similar design as the HX850.
Please feel free to point out any mistakes in my messages. That will be helpful for me to make less mistakes in the future. :-)

lol. Actually, they use these plate heatsinks more and more in their recent products.

In Win Commander II 1200W. OEM is Andyson. Topology: double-switch forward+DC-DC converts for +3.3V&+5V+synchronous rectifying. Two big capacitors are from Panasonic(HC series), which are rated at 400V 105℃. Capacitors on the secondary side are from cheapo teapo.(sc series).

It's odd that they would use andyson as the OEM. In Win usually build their own units.
No wonder it doesn't work! You installed the coils backwards! :D
