Antec Earthwatts EA 650W green review @kitguru

This psu surely looks green. :lol: OEM is delta.

A 330μF primary capacitor for a 650W power supply? Seems every psu manufacturers skimp on primary cap these days.
Please feel free to point out any mistakes in my messages. That will be helpful for me to make less mistakes in the future. :-)

YAY! Chemi-con caps. Looks like Antec might be starting to learn their lesson about using Taiwanese caps, but yes, 330uF is a bit undersized for a 650W
No wonder it doesn't work! You installed the coils backwards! :D

Yeah. Haven't seen them use Fuhjyyu or CWT for a long time. :lol2: Though OST and Su'scon caps still can be found in some of their PSUs.

Antec do still use CWT and bad caps (mucon brand, just as bad as fuhjyyu) for their phantom series (unless they've changed recently).
No wonder it doesn't work! You installed the coils backwards! :D

phantom series? never heard of that?!

[edit] after some research it looks like the PHANTOM series is FANLESS...which IDIOT uses CRAP CAPS in a FANLESS psu???

given there history, i should get over hoping they figure out that bad caps are not good for business.

but given the price of their products, i expect way more than suscon...

exactly. that's why it is surprising they use such lousy capacitors. their products are not cheap!
