Any brand of cap usually does OK as a primary (other than fuhjyyu and HEC), although a well-known brand like Hitachi, Chemicon, Nichicon, Rubycon or Panasonic is always perferable. It's probably more important to consider the temperature ratings of the replacement capacitors. An 85*C capacitor will work, but it's better to use a 105*C rated cap, since it will last longer.
No wonder it doesn't work! You installed the coils backwards! :D

Innards of the Enermax MaxRevo EMR1500EGT power supply. This monster promises 80plus gold efficiency while outputing as much as 1500 Watts of DC power under 230VAC. However, it isn't 80plus certified because its input voltage range is limited to 200-240VAC for some reason I don't know yet. So the availability of this unit will be restricted to Countries such as Australia, China, etc. [hr]
Some one over at itocp worries about that the air flow might not be able to reach to the 10 rubycons. That might affect the longevity of those caps. :(

I wouldn't worry too much. On most PSUs they are covered over by wires, and rubycon is the most reliable cap brand in the world.

Internals of the Huntkey R85 450W 80plus bronze compliant power supply. Its main topology is Active Clamp Forword + Interleaved PFC + groupe regulated. The big capacitor is a Nippon Chemi-con 390μF 450V rated at 85℃. However, the choices of secondary caps are poor. Would be a decent unit if it had throughly good caps and a good price. At the moment, it's a little pricy.

OCZ ZS 500W 80plus bronze certified power supply. OEM is Sirfa. Primary capacitor is from Matsushita while the rest caps are all from Nippon Chemi-con. It is based on the double forword topology, which is very common in this grade of power supplies.

Thermaltake Toughpower xt 1350W power supply. It's based on CWT's PUC platform. Capacitors in this unit are from Panansonic, Enesol, Nippon Chemi-con, and Toshin Kogyo.

That's the first FSP I've seen for a while that actually has fins on all the heat sinks.
