I think nVidia applies the abnormal PCI-E aux power connectors because it would stand in the way of the reference cooler if they put a 6pin connector on the left of the stacked power connectors (where 6 holes were already made).

Bizarre!
Is it just me or is the card green in one of the pictures and black in the other?

I actually think it's a brilliant idea to make the power connector that way. :) It is easy for manufacturers to put more power connectors on one board without extending the length of it. And PSU manufacturers're gonna love it. :D

Information is far more fragile than the HDDs it's stored on. Being an afterthought is no excuse for a bad product.
