PFC cap failures seem to be less of an issue on 230V. It's less stressful on the PFC circuit to boost the voltage to the required 390-400V. As a result, the coil and PFC components generate less heat, and don't cook the cap as quickly (although given how hot this unit ran, you never know...)

I ended up using this PSU in a PC I built for a relative. It was a Core i5 4440 with onboard graphics, so it won't be all that power hungry.
