Seasonic SSP-350GT Review

The SSP-350GT is based on Seasonic’s popular new G-360 power supply. Essentially, it’s a slightly cheaper, cut down version of it. Let’s see what features have been removed and whether it’s still a good buy.

SS-Label_PSU

The label does claim two 12V rails, but I found this to be inaccurate. Opening the unit up revealed that there was only one group of 12V wires. The power supply itself is a plain grey colour, which is the first obvious difference between it and the G-360, as the G-360 is black.

Cables

The cable configuration consists of a 20+4 pin ATX connector, a 4+4 pin ATX/EPS12V CPU power connector, four SATA power connectors, one molex/peripheral connector and one FDD connector. Users who wish to use a mid to high end graphics card may find this to be a problem, as there are no PCI-E connectors, and not enough molex connectors to use a molex to PCI-E adapter. With that said, however, most users who want such a graphics card go with a higher capacity power supply than 350W.

Top_Back

Like on the G-360, both the top and rear grilles use a honeycomb structure. They are fairly open, and are nearly as good as wire grilles.
