Connectors & cabling
Almost all the wires used for the cables are 18AWG, with the exception of the wires for the Berg adapter which are 22AWG but that is actually OK as they are limited to only 3 A. However, I always prefer to see at least 16AWG wires for the PCIe and ATX/EPS 12 V cables. All of the cables are black flat ribbons, and that’s gonna give me a headache sorting the wires out for current measurements… not to mention that it’s not really compliant with the ATX specifications for cable colors. On the plus side, the +5 V stand-by cable is 16AWG and the Molex connectors have unplugging clips, but none of the pins on this unit have any gold plating.

Case & fan
The casing is made from 0.9mm SECC steel with a matte (possibly powdered) black finish. A wire fan grill is used, and has the SilentiumPC logo in the middle. Notice the warranty sticker, this one was quite annoying to remove.
The air exhaust on the back has a honeycomb pattern. Unlike the Strider Gold S which had a unique design where the backside is separate, screwed into the main comparment, the Supremo M1 uses the ordinary two-part case, with the modular-cabling board mounted to one side.
The fan is a Globe brand sleeve bearing model S1352512M. About a third of it is blocked by plastic film. The bearing is lubricated with only a small amount of grease.
