I can't do it, since I don't have administrator privileges, but try this link: showthread.php?pid=1000

That link should return the thread with the 1000th post in it. Then mouse over the post number (at the top right of each post) and look at the url to find the post that is number 1000 (pid=1000 will be in the URL). If you click on the link and it says the thread is invalid or something like that, you probably deleted post 1000 for some reason.

That's odd. Apparently that functionality was disabled in MyBB 1.6. You could go into the database and find entry 1000, but that's a waste of time anyways.
