What? Samsung and Wd are two only good or were the two only good hdd manufacturers. Samsung doesn't have a higher failure rate than Wd and vice versa. Samsung was bang for buck. Seagate use to be up there but the 1tb issue their reputation never recovered. Maybe this will get them back up there. Samsung drives were excellent for raid where Wd you had to get the re revisions coz the normal ones were poor raid performers.
There's a reason why samsung sold it. Not because they weren't making money out of it believe me they made a lot out of it. Simple example trying to buy one online they were always out of stock! Samsung is dumping more into the ram development as they are busy with DDR4 and maybe keeping some options open to make a move for Amd
