Information is far more fragile than the HDDs it's stored on. Being an afterthought is no excuse for a bad product.

I noticed some discoloration left of the fuse in the Huntkey, on the PCB... did that come from loading it up to 200W and if not what else could that be from?

I can't remember. I suspect it was there all along, but it's over two years ago.

I think it's possible the previous owner pushed it too hard. It only has a 10A ultrafast on the +12V rail and pretty thin heatsinks and the previous user might have thought the labeled "15A" on the +12V rail to suffice for whatever was being powered.
